Job Description
3. Act as first contact for department policy queries, escalating when needed.
4. Handle initial GDPR breach reviews and escalate complex cases.
5. Respond to AML queries, escalating to the AML Manager as required.
6. Provide first-tier support on client onboarding, including e-verification and PEP/sanctions checks.
7. Support staff with e-verification and client management systems.
8. Maintain risk and compliance registers and generate reports.
9. Monitor government/OFSI sanctions updates and notify staff.
10. Conduct file audits for policy compliance.
11. Assist with identifying key documents and correspondence.
12. Manage renewals of certificates and registrations (e.g. ICO, insurance).
13. Support SRA Practising Certificate renewals with risk data.
14. Provide admin support for external audits.
15. Manage team diaries, schedule meetings, take minutes and track actions.
16. Assist team with bundles for claims, complaints and investigations.
17. Draft correspondence and training materials.
18. Maintain intranet pages for the team.
19. Monitor regulatory websites for updates.
20. Deliver induction training to new starters.
21. Support with admin tasks and projects as needed.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Risk and Best Practice Analyst should have:
22. Experience in or a strong understanding of risk management within the legal sector or professional services industry.
23. A proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential risks.
24. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
25. The ability to interpret regulatory frameworks and apply them effectively.
26. Strong communication skills for interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
27. Proficiency in preparing detailed reports and maintaining accurate records.
