Overview
Hywel Dda University Health Board invites applications for a highly skilled Sonographer to join the Radiology department at Withybush General Hospital in Haverfordwest. The role delivers high‑quality ultrasound investigations and supports trainee development within a state‑of‑the‑art service.
Responsibilities
* Scan patients and produce independent reports in line with departmental guidelines.
* Teach and provide practical training to student sonographers and other trainees.
* Participate in audit and clinical governance programmes.
* Communicate with patients, relatives and colleagues about examination purpose and results.
* Develop own skills and support others, identifying training needs with the Lead Sonographer.
* Plan and prioritise workload to ensure efficient flow of work and minimal waiting times, maintaining high service standards.
Qualifications
* Registered Health Professional with a post‑graduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound.
* Relevant experience in clinical sonography.
* Availability for flexible hours to meet service demands.
* Effective communication skills in English (Welsh desirable).
Language Requirements
Welsh language skills are desirable. If you do not currently meet the Welsh Language requirements specified, the Board offers learning support to achieve the minimal desirable level during employment.
