Project:
Working closely with a private client, the M&E contractor is delivering two private members clubs in West London totalling £10m MEP. The facilities will include gyms/suana, restaurants, bar, cinema, pool and living space. A high end facility currently under NDA.
They require an Electrical Project Manager to lead the Electrical packages on both facilities totalling £4.5million, you will lead the project from preconstruction to handover.
Electrical Project Manager – Salary up to £85,000 + Car Allowance + Travel + Pension + Healthcare + Discretionary Bonus
Role:
Reporting to a contract director the position will be supported by a team of engineers and supervisors. You will be expected to take the project from pre construction through to handover. Relationship management, team coordination and project reporting are key to this position.
Role/Responsibilities:
* Tender review/validation
* Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor and consultants)
* Procurement of subcontractors, kit and plant
* Technical submittals
* RFIs – Liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractors
* Value Engineering where applicable
* Programming of works – using MS Project or Asta project
* Health & Safety management (RAMs)
* Commercial Responsibility, assisting with sub contractor variation accounts working alongside project specific Quantity Survey.
* Management of variations
* Team Coordination (overseeing junior engineers, construction managers and supervisors)
* Progress meetings with sub contractors, client and internal meetings
* Overseeing commissioning stages
* Formulation of OM Manuals and client handover
The ideal candidate:
* Will be familiar working in a fast pace environment
* Experience managing projects to a minimum of £2M within your own discipline
* A minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role
* Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as ISg, Lend Lease, Sir Robert McAlpine and Mace. xkybehq
