Join our dedicated team at a dynamic secondary school in Lancaster, where we are seeking a Full-Time Geography Teacher to start in November. This role is ideal for someone with a robust knowledge of the Geography curriculum and a passion for creating an engaging learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Deliver engaging and informative Geography lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience with KS5 is advantageous but not essential.
* Utilise strong classroom management skills to create a conducive learning environment.
* Assess, monitor, and report on the progress of students.
* Implement and adapt lesson plans according to student needs and curriculum standards.
* Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance teaching practices and academic success.
* Participate in school events and activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
* Recent and relevant experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4 levels.
* Excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge.
* Reliable, committed, and capable of demonstrating qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, and politeness.
* Good interpersonal skills, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
