We are seeking an inspirational SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team and deliver high‑quality, personalised education to students with a range of additional needs. This is a role where your expertise, empathy and energy will shape futures. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons for individuals and small groups, teaching up to GCSE level within the school’s curriculum framework. Create and review personalised learning plans (IEPs, IBPs and other individual plans) to ensure each student makes meaningful progress. Monitor, assess and report on student progress, maintaining accurate records in line with regulatory and company standards. Support the delivery of nurture‑based programmes that promote emotional wellbeing, resilience and positive behaviour. Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants, Tutors, care staff and the wider multi‑professional team to ensure a consistent, holistic approach. Manage challenging behaviour using supportive strategies that help students develop self‑regulation and independence. Organise classroom environments, resources and displays to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning space. Contribute to whole‑school development, implementing policies, safeguarding practices and initiatives linked to the School Development Plan. About You You will be someone who brings: QTS or equivalent required Experience working with children or young people with SEN, SEMH or complex needs. A calm, patient and adaptable approach, with the ability to build trust and rapport. Strong organisational skills and the ability to plan creatively for diverse learners. A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice. A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers and succeed. Driving licence required About us Orchard Manor School, part of Options Autism, is a brand-new specialist school opening near King’s Lynn in Downham Market. The school will cater for up to 72 pupils aged 5 to 16 with a variety of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). Orchard Manor is an independent specialist school where the curriculum is thoughtfully designed around the specific needs of autistic learners and those with related needs. Education is supported by a fully integrated on-site clinical team, ensuring a holistic, person-centred approach to learning and wellbeing.
