We are seeking a part-time motivated GP Visiting Paramedic to join our friendly supportive and dynamic team in Exmouth, which is on the beautiful East Devon coast.This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment, delivering high-quality care through visiting our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Main duties of the job

To act as an autonomous practitioner who is able to work independently and with other members of the clinical team. The post holder will be an experienced, caring person who can demonstrate highly developed clinical skills and be able to demonstrate critical thinking whilst working within their professional boundaries.

You will work with our GPs and other primary care professionals in order to provide effective home visits, liaising and working closely with the clinical triage team.

You will be able to demonstrate safe, competent clinical decision-making and deliver expert care, including history taking, assessment, diagnostic skills, treatment and evaluation. You will provide an alternative and complementary source of primary health care alongside services provided by General Practitioners.

You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures. In order to work at this level, relevant professional requirements for advanced practice must be met.

Rolle Medical Partnership provides high quality primary care under a General Medical Services Contract delivering full general practice and additional enhanced services as well as care and support for our patients with long term conditions who live within our area.

Our list size is around 27,000 and we monitor our size and workload to ensure we have adequate clinical and administrative staff to adapt accordingly. We have four surgery sites, including our dispensing surgery in Lympstone.

We strive to be as effective and efficient as possible in terms of the healthcare we provide. We will be focussed on providing excellent primary care services for patients and listen to feedback to reflect.

Job responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities Home Visits

* Attend scheduled and urgent home visits for housebound or vulnerable patients.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments in the patient's home environment.
* Manage acute illness presentations and chronic disease exacerbations in the community.
* Identify safeguarding or social care concerns and liaise with appropriate services.
* Document visit outcomes clearly in the medical record.
* Escalate concerns to clinical triage team or patient's own GP when necessary.

Professional Duties

* Maintain professional registration and adhere to regulatory standards.
* Participate in continuing professional development (CPD) and clinical supervision.
* Follow local clinical pathways, protocols, and prescribing guidelines.
* Contribute to service audits, quality improvement, and practice development.
* Support induction or training of junior paramedics or students (if applicable).
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary primary care team.
