We have a current opportunity for an Offshore Export Cable Supply Project Engineer on a contract basis in Wind with a major operator outside of IR35.
Position Details
Hybrid: The position will be based in central London, with approximately 2-3 days a week onsite and the rest WFH.
Start in late May/early June. Duration: 2 years.
Reporting to the Work Package Manager.
Responsibilities
1. Provide technical expertise on export cable design, qualification, manufacture, quality management, testing, and commissioning activities, both onshore and offshore.
2. Support cable design and coordinate loadout planning and schedules with T&I colleagues.
3. Lead cable design and cable rating verification calculations.
4. Develop and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and procedures related to cable activities.
5. Review study results and design/construction documents to ensure compliance with employer requirements and project expectations.
6. Review technical aspects of consenting documents.
7. Manage and coordinate technical interfaces, supporting clarification and interface meetings with contractors, especially for onshore landfall and offshore substation packages.
