Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a lovely Nottinghamshire school in Sutton-In-Ashfield. The successful candidate will support students with challenging behaviour and contribute to a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with classroom teachers and special education professionals to support students with challenging behaviour.
2. Implement behaviour intervention plans and strategies to address individual student needs.
3. Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students with behavioural challenges.
4. Foster a safe and respectful classroom environment.
5. Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.
6. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators to develop and implement effective solutions.
Qualifications:
* It is essential to have an EYFS qualification.
* Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role.
* Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and positive behaviour support.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Empathy, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
