Our client is looking to hire a detail-oriented Estimator to join their manufacturing team. This key Estimator role involves assessing project requirements, gathering data, and producing precise cost estimates during the pre-production phase. The successful candidate will work closely with product specifications, project managers, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed within budget.
Key Responsibilities as an Estimator:
Project Analysis: Evaluate product specifications and production processes to determine accurate cost estimates.
Cost Estimation: Calculate project costs including materials, labour, equipment, and overheads.
Bid Preparation: Develop accurate and competitive bids for manufacturing projects.
Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
Project Management: Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, bids, and project data.
Communication: Ensure clear and effective communication with project managers, clients, and suppliers.
Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices.
To succeed in this Estimator role, the candidate will possess:
Proven experience as an Estimator, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite.
Analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and workflows.
