We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Vet Surgeon to join a busy, successful first opinion small animal practice with a high exotics caseload in the Leicester area of East Midlands.
* excellent full time permanent opportunity working 40 hour week including a weekend rota and no OOH.
* practice is modern and spacious with state of the art equipment including digital X-ray, in-house laboratory, and ultrasound and multi parameter and Exotic equipment on site.
* varied small animal caseload with high caseload of exotics
* role would suit an existing Head Vet looking for change or an experienced/Senior Vet looking to step into a Head Vet role.
* ideally be confident with all routine surgical and medical cases, with strong exotics experience, able to support the vets clinically and to manage the team
* people management experience is advantageous.
* CPD is encouraged, Certificates supported and RCVS/VDS fees paid
* Great Midlands location, close to the motorway and easily accessible to Leicester, Nottingham and London, near to train station and 30-45 mins from two major airports
Person Requirements
* Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
* Registered with the RCVS
* confident with all routine surgical and medical cases
* strong exotics experience
* able to support the vets clinically and to manage the team
