Role
The Senior Digital Solutions Consultant position is based in the UK with a focus on business development & retention in the EMEA region. The senior member we’re in search of will report directly to the Global Head of Digital Solutions Consulting based in London, UK.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide digital and technology expertise within business development team across asset owners and asset managers in support their investment decision-making and oversight, including their use of data, analytics and technology solutions.
2. Consultative pre-sales and sale engagement on front to back solutions, operating model design, data integration and digital tooling
3. Creating innovative, integrated technology solutions
4. Preparing and pitching influential technology demos to clients, prospects and consultants across business lines
5. Raising Northern Trust’s profile as a market leading digital and provider to the external market
6. Providing input and direction towards Northern Trust’s technology based digital solutions and strategy
7. Researching client’s needs to provide bespoke digital solutions
8. Working closely with the RFP (Request for Proposal) team and Marketing team to ensure a coherent, consistent message is communicated externally regarding Northern Trust’s technology offerings
9. Liaising with the business to drive innovation and promote leading technology in the industry
10. Staying aware of changing market conditions and tracking digital and data trends, new market leading technologies and tools within the industry to ensure Northern Trust’s is offering relevant and up-to-date technology platforms
Additional responsibilities include:
11. Providing strategic sales support for Northern Trust initiatives aimed at expanding & retaining client relationships and business development
12. Packaging Northern Trust reporting solutions and technological capabilities for a wide array of clients
13. Providing technical consultancy in the development of formal sales proposals
14. Partnering with Sales Managers and client service team representatives to create strategies directed at prospecting and client engagement meetings
15. Coordinating technical pre-sales activities, transferring technical specifications and product knowledge to existing and prospective clients through the RFP/ RFI process
16. Proactively investigating ways to differentiate Northern Trust’s technology offering from the competition
17. Devising bespoke, market leading solutions to enable Northern Trust to have a competitive edge in market tenders and prospect opportunities
18. Delivering engaging and influential technology demos across the suite of Northern Trust technology applications
Skills/Qualifications
19. Demonstrated ability to understand and process information regarding technology based products
20. Demonstrated ability to create a holistic, client focused story that highlights the value to the end-user(s)
21. Demonstrated ability to create a network of contacts whilst building trust & credibility in the framework of those relationships
22. Demonstrated ability to lead prospect and client technology roadshows
23. Knowledge of traditional and alternative assets
24. Knowledge of industry technology platforms such as Aladdin, Simcorp, CRD, Investran, Burgiss and data platforms such as Snowflake
25. A proven self-starter with the energy and passion to continually create new narratives to showcase and articulate the value of a company’s brand
26. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks while meeting deadlines in a highly regulated environment
27. Demonstrated technical knowledge around investment strategies and the investment process
28. A proven track record in sales presentations and demonstration of technologies and tools
29. Willing and able to devise and deliver a presentation for Senior Leaders during the recruitment process
30. Willing and available to travel to client meetings, conference and roadshows though EMEA
31. A deep understanding of client functions, needs and pain points – and potential technology solutions
32. Demonstrated multi-segment expertise within the financial sector
33. Multi-product expertise for technology and reporting solutions within the financial sector.
