The post holder will work as an integral member of the Maintenance team, undertaking semi-skilled duties and assisting in the maintenance and repair of electrical, mechanical equipment, site facilities, and building fabric.
This includes working effectively with minimal supervision, supporting multi-skilled craft persons, and liaising with external contractors to provide a responsive maintenance and repair service that meets users' needs.
The role involves routine, non-routine, and fault-finding maintenance duties. The post holder should have previous experience in facilities or building maintenance and must be able to work independently, using their judgment to resolve issues. Carrying an emergency bleep/mobile communication device is necessary.
Continued training will be provided to support craft and multi-craft workers and to develop higher and wider skills.
A Full Driving Licence is essential.
We require a maintenance worker (higher level) within the estates department, responsible for semi-skilled electrical and mechanical building services maintenance in hospital environments, including plant rooms and clinical areas. Responsibilities include completing planned preventative maintenance and documenting defects. The post requires minimal supervision and support for multi-trade craft personnel.
