Pastoral Support Officer - Sheffield

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Support Officer to work in secondary schools across Sheffield, starting ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people's wellbeing, behaviour, and personal development.
The Role
As a Pastoral Support Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting students who may be experiencing social, emotional, or behavioural challenges. Working closely with teaching staff, SEN teams, and external agencies, you will help students overcome barriers to learning and thrive in school.
Responsibilities may include:
Providing 1:1 and small group pastoral support
Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation
Acting as a trusted adult for students who need guidance and encouragement
Monitoring attendance, engagement, and wellbeing
Liaising with parents/carers and school staff

What We're Looking For
Experience working with children or young people in a pastoral, support, youth work, or mentoring role
A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
