About the Role
As Team Leader, you will oversee Redthreads delivery at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich, alongside any associated community work in the local area. You will lead the Youth Violence Intervention Programme within a healthcare setting, supporting young people aged 11 to 25 who attend hospital following an incident of violence, or where there are concerns around exploitation or extra-familial harm. You will manage and support a team of Youth Workers, ensuring the service runs effectively and delivers meaningful outcomes. This includes direct work within the hospital and continued support following discharge, helping young people access the support they need in a way that works for them.
Key responsibilities
* Lead, manage and develop a team, including recruitment, supervision and appraisals, while supporting wellbeing and performance
* Embed Catch22s vision and values in day-to-day service delivery
* Ensure accurate and timely recording of all service user activity in line with data and contract requirements
* Oversee operational risk, health and safety, safeguarding and governance in line with organisational and commissioner expectations
* Carry out regular case file audits in line with policy
* Manage referral allocation and ensure effective caseload management across the team
* Meet reporting requirements and deadlines, maintaining accurate and high-quality data
What you'll bring
* Relevant qualification in youth work, health and wellbeing or similar, or equivalent experience
* Experience supporting young people with complex needs, including risk and vulnerability
* Experience working in partnership with services such as Childrens Services or Youth Justice
* Confidence delivering support in both one-to-one and group settings
* Knowledge of safeguarding, relevant legislation and effective intervention approaches
* Experience using data systems and working to performance targets
* Ability to assess and manage risk in complex situations
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Experience leading or supporting a team and developing others
* Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Flexible, proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
