Amplifi Talent is partnering with an award-winning, locally owned, multi-site SME headquartered in Antrim, to recruit a suitably experienced Financial Controller on a permanent basis. With ambitious plans for growth, our client seeks a hands-on finance professional to lead and manage the finance function with a focus on control, insight, and financial guidance.
Role Overview
As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for end-to-end financial management of the business, supporting senior leadership with management accounts, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management. This is a key hire as the business scales and professionalizes its finance operations. Suitable for a seasoned Finance Manager/Controller or an ambitious Management Accountant seeking career advancement.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Management Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management accounts; analyze financial performance; develop financial KPIs.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead annual budgeting and reforecasting; collaborate with departments on budgets; build financial models.
3. Cashflow & Working Capital: Manage and forecast cash flow; monitor working capital; optimize liquidity.
4. Financial Operations & Controls: Maintain internal controls; oversee finance operations including AP/AR, payroll, VAT; liaise with external accountants.
5. Financial/Strategic Support: Support MD and CEO on financial strategy; assist with funding, investments, and commercial decisions.
Person Specification
* Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in an SME environment.
* Proven management of management accounts and budgets.
* Experience managing cash flow in a growing business.
* Excellent Excel and financial modeling skills.
* Proactive, hands-on, and commercially minded.
Desirable
* Experience in tech or related sectors.
* Familiarity with Sage or similar cloud accounting systems.
