Electrical Engineer or Electrician | Oxfordshire | £45,000 + benefits
We are recruiting qualified Electrical Engineers / Electricians to join our Facilities Maintenance team supporting high-profile defence sites in South Oxfordshire.
These are permanent roles working on secure MOD sites, offering stability, variety, and the opportunity to be part of a well-supported engineering team in a unique environment.
We have two positions available:
* Static Electrical Engineer – based permanently at RAF Benson or Dalton Barracks
* Mobile Electrical Engineer – covering four defence sites across South Oxfordshire (van, fuel card & on-call allowance provided)
* Both roles form part of a professional on-site engineering team responsible for the safety, compliance, and reliability of electrical and building services infrastructure across the estate.The RoleYou will carry out a mix of:
o Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
o Reactive maintenance and emergency repairs
o Fault finding on electrical systems
o Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and MOD standards
o Maintaining high Health & Safety standards on secure sites
You will work on systems including:
o 3-phase power distribution
o Emergency lighting
o Small power
o Alarms and controls
o General building services infrastructure
Static Role – RAF Benson / Dalton Barracks
o Site-based position with a consistent working environment
o Ideal for engineers who prefer a singular location and routine
o Working as part of a dedicated on-site team
Mobile Role – South Oxfordshire Defence Sites
o Covering four MOD sites
o Company van and fuel card provided
o On-call rota allowance
o Ideal for engineers who enjoy variety and independence
What We’re Looking For
o NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
o AM2
o 2391
o 18th Edition
o Experience in PPM, fault-finding, and reactive maintenance
o Background in commercial, FM, or defence environments desirable
o Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations
o Full UK driving licence (mobile role)
o Ability to work independently and within a team
o Eligible for BPSS clearance (must have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years)
