Sopher + Co are Accountants and Tax Advisers who make it their business to understand and add value to clients' personal and business affairs. We have an excellent opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join the Tax Department in our highly successful Accountancy Practice in Borehamwood.
The Role
This admin role involves working in and supporting our Tax Department with general administration duties, including data entry of client account information, scanning documents for electronic filing, handling various queries, correspondence, memos, letters, and photocopying documentation.
Role responsibilities for the Administration Assistant:
* Corresponding with HMRC regularly
* Preparing tax packs
* Preparing and issuing engagement letters
* Processing incoming post and distributing emails, memos, letters, faxes, and forms
* Chasing information requests via email or phone
* Performing other duties as assigned by the Manager
Requirements for the Administration Assistant:
* Experience in a professional services environment preferred, but similar admin experience considered
* Confident in communicating with senior staff and asking questions
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
* Accurate keyboard skills, both written and numerical
* Excellent time management and multitasking skills
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Flexible, professional, confident, and capable of building relationships based on trust and respect
