Requirements
* Comfortable with being based on the road
* Required to regularly work to tight deadlines that may require additional hours of work at times of pressure
* Flexibility during peak periods (e.g., Christmas, Easter) and to work additional shifts to cover holiday and sickness
* Ability to work to strict deadlines in a time-critical environment
* Professional and courteous when communicating with colleagues or customers
* C+E UK Licence
* Up to date CPC Training
* Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
* Professional in appearance
* Must have own transport and full UK driving licence and own transportation to work
Key Accountabilities
* Providing high standard of customer service and relations to customers and suppliers, ensuring compliance with their site rules and regulations at all times
* Liaising with the Transport desk to make them aware of potential difficulties or variations from the original brief
* Ensuring the vehicle is driven with utmost care for other road users, pedestrians and the environment
* Accurately completing all documentation required by the Company and the customer
* Ensuring that all Company rules and regulations and compliance with legislation are achieved at all times
* Ensuring paperwork is checked against consignment, reporting any issues or differences
* Striving to ensure punctual collection and delivery of all loads
* Ensuring the safety of the vehicle and its load at all times whilst on duty and reporting any defects to the Traffic office/Workshop
* Assisting with loading and unloading of the vehicle, using lifting equipment where authorised and trained
* Being flexible in terms of starting and finishing times of shifts
* Maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle whilst on duty
* Undertaking any other tasks as reasonably requested by Transport Operator
* Maintaining trailer hygiene to the standards set by our customer
