We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) background to join our commercial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of cost and contract management for E&I packages across our projects — ensuring accurate financial control, value optimisation, and compliance with contract requirements.
This is a key commercial role within our delivery team, working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to support the successful execution of complex industrial and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and manage cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for Electrical & Instrumentation works.

Conduct cost planning, value engineering, and commercial risk assessments to optimise project value.

Manage subcontractor procurement, including preparation of enquiry documentation, tender evaluations, and contract negotiations.

Administer contracts (e.g. NEC, FIDIC, bespoke) including variations, claims, and change management.
*
Prepare and submit monthly valuations, progress applications, and cost reports.
*
Track and forecast project costs, budgets, and cash flow.
*
Support project teams in change control and ensure all variations are captured and valued correctly.
*
Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure commercial alignment and transparency.
*
Manage and agree final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
*
Ensure all commercial activities comply with company procedures, contractual obligations, and industry standards.
Requirements
*
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline.
*
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in Electrical & Instrumentation, MEP, or industrial construction sectors.
*
Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems, scopes, and terminology.
*
Proven experience working with E&I subcontractors, suppliers, and technical teams.
*
Familiarity with standard forms of contract (e.g. NEC, FIDIC, JCT).
*
Advanced Excel and cost management software skills.
*
Strong analytical, numerical, and commercial acumen.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills
*
Experience in oil & gas, pharmaceutical, energy, or data centre environments.
*
Background with main contractor or EPC contractor preferred.
*
Knowledge of HV/LV systems, control panels, cabling, instrumentation loops, and commissioning phases.
