We are currently recruiting for a Security & Facilities Manager to work from our R&D Site in St Asaph. The position focuses on ensuring the day-to-day safe, smooth and compliant operation of the Optical Systems Innovation Hub facility by performing a range of administrative tasks, ensuring all work is up to date and accurate. Security responsibilities include; Act as Deputy / Security Controller for the G&H UK Business Manage facility security of the St Asaph site Support security-related audits, implementing new security policies and procedures Ensuring adherence to Government, legislative and the companies Security policies Ensure compliance with Security Aspects Letters (SALs) and maintain a register of SALs Work with project teams for security clearances/management of individual projects Conduct security inductions/briefings, security awareness training, security process training Conduct risk assessments, present findings to senior leadership or project teams and implement identified mitigations Provide training to users in the day-to-day maintenance of security documentation Assist the Personnel Security Controller, and Deputy with security vetting enquiries Liaise with BS/IT to ensure compliance of company networks and IT infrastructure with legislative and customer requirements Facility responsibilities include; Act as Office Manager; liaising with internal HR, Supply Chain and Finance teams in the G&H business Ensure all process and procedures appertaining to general facility practices are adhered to at all times in line with company directives and facility accreditations Ensure visitors comply with company policy Prepare documentation for reports to the group Develop and maintain filing systems, both manual and computerised, ensuring efficient collation, storage and retrieval of information Undertake, with complete discretion and in confidence, tasks as directed which may be of a sensitive and confidential nature Control calibration schedules of all registered equipment, records and standards associated with calibration in line with general calibration procedures Ideal candidates will have the following attributes; A background in a security compliance related role, familiarity with handling sensitive information Previous history with a List X / FSC / IPSA accredited business or involvement with UK Government Security Frameworks Due to the sensitive nature of this role, ideal candidates must be UK nationals, either holding current Security Clearance (SC) or being eligible for it An adaptable nature to balance both aspects of the role, self-motivated with a can-do attitude As well as a competitive salary and training, company benefits include; 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Company pension pays 6% Company bonus scheme Health Cash Plan
