To provide operational and strategic leadership to the integrated health and social care service that is formed under the Haringey Learning Disability Partnership (HLDP).
To discharge the council’s statutory responsibility to lead and develop the strategic and operational delivery of the HLDP in Haringey, in line with the Care Act 2014
To be responsible, as part of the Adult Social Services Leadership Team, for the delivery of Council and NHS strategies and goals, including, the implementation of the Care Act 2014 and delivery of the integration agenda supported by the NHS Better Care Fund.
The post is jointly funded by Haringey Council and Haringey Clinical Commissioning Group (Haringey CCG), via the HLDP Pooled Fund, with Haringey Council acting as the ‘lead partner’ in the partnership.
Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The post requires significant and broad experience in learning disabilities and also in managing others
Management experience of one or more work processes associated with the operations of the service.
Detailed knowledge and understanding of legislative and contextual framework affecting the work of the service including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2019 Children and Families Act 2014 Mental Health Act 2007 and others.
Knowledge of Health and Social Care needs of vulnerable adults.
Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, negotiation and social adaptive skills
Dynamic, energetic and solution focused with an ability to communicate complex issues in simple terms to all stakeholders
Ability to instigate and manage change continually, striving towards excellence
Proficiency in the use and understanding of IT and Information Management and data protection legislation.
Ability to manage and control large budgets
Minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience in relevant health or social care setting.
Relevant professional qualifications in social care or health services.
This post requires registration with the relevant health professional council / governing body (Health and Care Professions Council – HCPC).
