Job Role:Site Engineer - Wastewater Job Type:Full time, permanent Reporting to:Project Manager Location:Northern Ireland (25% approx) and England (75% approx.) Role Overview We are seeking a proactive and experienced Site Engineer to oversee and coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering activities to support the delivery of Wastewater infrastructure projects. This role involves supervising on-site teams, ensuring technical compliance and driving project delivery to meet quality, safety and deadlines. We are looking for an ambitious team player who wants to work in a fast-paced, environment, and is willing to learn from the challenges of the industry. You will be driven to make an impact and be hands on from day one. What you'll do Some of your responsibilities as a Site Engineer will include; Health, Safety and Environment Responsible for the safety of your work and those around you Recognising danger and report risks to the Project Manager without delay Comply with Lagan MEICA HSEQ standards and policies Reporting of near misses and accidents Carry out Toolbox Talks Job Quality Be aware of the potential risks to the job and how to minimise or eliminate these Liaise with the Project Manager or other teams to discuss potential quality issues Carry out reasonable instructions, and constructively feedback any perceived risks or issues Ensure the work being carried out meets the specifications Project Supervision Lead and supervise site activities Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors, junior engineers, and site operatives. Stakeholder Coordination Liaise with project managers, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth communication and alignment. What you'll bring As a Site Engineer it is essential to have; Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management or related discipline Minimum 3 years experience as an Engineer Experience in site engineering within the Water or Wastewater sector Strong understanding of Wastewater treatment processes and pumping stations Proven experience in a site engineering role with multi-disciplinary exposure. A Full Driving License permitting you to drive in the UK Confident with IT and software including MS Office Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
