Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities and adapting resources to suit individual needs.
* Support pupils in developing social skills, independence, and confidence.
* Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and the SENCO.
* Promote positive behaviour and help manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.
* Assist with personal care needs where required, ensuring dignity and respect.
* Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support pupil development.
* Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with children with SEN, either in a school or similar setting.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trusting relationships with pupils.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* A proactive approach, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
* An understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
