Lift Safety Inspector
We are recruting for a CPSI5 Inspector to join our Team based in The Midlands and South West Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for working within the Technical department ensuring the Confirmation of Periodic Safety Inspections (CPSI) 5 yearly inspections are performed to the required Schindler standard. This is a full time adnd permanent role.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* To carry out the technical 5 yearly inspections
* To produce accurate reports in line with current codes of practice
* To ensure correct performance of lift installation to agreed contract details
* To ensure correct performance of safety related components to company standards
* To ensure timely production of reports and accurate feedback of site anomalies
* To ensure all instruments are kept in line with company requirements i.e. calibration of measuring instruments
* To assist the other members of the technical department to complete their duties
* To deliver on-site mentoring and technical training
* All employees are required to work in accordance with established Company Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current UK legal requirements and Schindler Group safety requirements
* Employees must comply with Company Health & Safety requirements and set a personal example of safe behaviour at all times
* Employees will be required to contribute to the Company safety objectives, where necessary by maintaining/monitoring current safety systems under their direct control and implementing agreed changes (where applicable) to Schindler Ltd occupational health and safety management system
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience as a field engineer (service or installation).
* NVQ Level 3 minimum
* NVQ4 qualified or willing to complete studies
* 3rd Party Equipment experience would be advantageous
* Willing and able to travel across the UK including overnight stays
* Customer centric approach and highly analytical
* Ability to work using own initiative
* High attention to detail, high accuracy and diligence
