Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (SEMH School) Location: Horsham, West Sussex Salary: £102.68 per day Hours: Full-time | Monday – Friday | 8:30am – 4:30pm (5pm finish on Thursdays) Contract: Temp to Perm (Permanent after 12 working weeks) Start Date: September 2025 Interviews: To be held after half-term Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are looking for dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join a beautiful SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Horsham, supporting children and young people aged 6–18 years. About the Role: Supporting students with SEMH needs in both one-to-one and small group settings Helping pupils to build confidence, develop positive relationships, and increase their self-esteem Contributing to a calm, structured environment that fosters emotional and academic development Working closely with teaching staff to implement positive behaviour management strategies Assisting with the delivery of engaging, inclusive learning tailored to individual needs What We’re Looking For: Someone calm, patient, and nurturing with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children Experience in a similar setting is desirable, but not essential – full training and ongoing support will be provided Able to commit full-time, long-term with a view to becoming a permanent team member Willing to apply for a DBS on the update service (or already registered) Why Join This School?
