Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our senior care facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assisted living and nursing home environments, with a passion for providing exceptional care to our residents. As the Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the management team and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained for our residents, particularly those with dementia and Alzheimer's.
Duties
* Assist in the overall management of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
* Supervise and support staff in delivering high-quality care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
* Oversee medication administration and ensure that all procedures are followed correctly.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care strategies for residents.
* Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional development.
* Conduct regular assessments of resident care needs and adjust care plans as necessary.
* Manage daily operations, including staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
* Address any concerns or issues raised by residents or their families in a timely manner.
Skills
* Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home settings, with a strong understanding of senior care practices.
* Background in nursing is highly desirable, along with experience in dementia and Alzheimer's care.
* Strong management skills with previous supervising experience in a care home environment.
* Excellent leadership capabilities, able to motivate and inspire staff to deliver outstanding care.
* Proficient in developing and implementing effective care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
* Knowledge of medication administration protocols and best practices within senior care settings.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with residents, families, and staff members.
