To support the nursing team in the delivery of practicenursing services, working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, deliveringcare within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population.
The nursing associate has a breadth of knowledgeacross the fields of nursing, providing holistic and person-centred care andsupport for people of all ages. This role will assist clinical staff in theprovision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patienteducation. In addition, the nursing associate will be expected to support theadministrative team on an as required basis.
Main duties of the job
Be responsible for delivering high quality,patient-centred, compassionate care under the leadership and direction of a practicenurse (or other registered care professional dependent on setting)
To support the practice nurse, implement andevaluate individual treatment plans for chronic disease patients
To support both well woman and well man clinics
To support vaccination programmes for adultsand children (child immunisations, travel immunisations etc)
To provide wound care (ulcer/Doppler etc.) topatients
To provide support during minor operations asrequired

We are a whole team of about 70 individuals, working across 2 sites in Worle. We have a nursing team of 7 Practice Nurses and 4 health care assistants. Our clinical team comprises of 2 GP partners and 8 salaried GPs, supported by 4 ANPs and 2 paramedics.

* Experience of working in a primary care environment
Qualifications
* Registered Nursing Associate and on the NMC register
* GCSE Grade A-C in Maths and English or skills level 2 Maths and English or equivalent
Skills
* Cervical cytology
