Reed FE working with a College in Lincolnshire and are seeking a dedicated Hairdressing Lecturer to join our team. This role involves teaching and supporting students in both practical and theoretical aspects of hairdressing, preparing them for assessments. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining health and safety standards and contributing to the smooth operation of the department.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Teach and support students in practical, theoretical, and technical aspects of hairdressing.
* Adhere to and administer health and safety policies and procedures within the classroom and practical settings.
* Contribute to the effective running of the curriculum and department through active participation and collaboration.
* Utilise digital tools and software to enhance the delivery of outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment experiences.
* Engage with the College’s Teaching and Learning Hub for continuous professional development and to support peer learning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Minimum Level 3 sector-specific qualification in hairdressing or substantial workplace experience.
2. Assessor and/or Teaching Qualification (e.g., PGCE, PTTLS, Cert Ed) or willingness to undertake a teaching qualification.
3. Level 2 or equivalent in Literacy and Numeracy, or willingness to achieve this standard.
