Role background:
Synonymous Sport is looking for a highly experienced Sports Marketing expert who has the vision to become part of this exciting journey, helping to drive our success growing the business. Synonymous Sport is 4 years old with big aspirations, aiming to double in size year on year for the next five years. As a key member of our management team, you'll be hands-on leading the department on researching partnership opportunities, developing activation strategies and delivery for our retained clients, ensuring their sports partnership marketing objectives are exceeded. Headline Responsibilities
* Lead the scoping process to understand client goals, business, and industry, ensuring sports partnerships deliver commercial and marketing value.
* Compile agreed objectives into concise partnership briefs for client sign-off.
* Lead the Synonymous Sport team in researching sports partnership opportunities aligned with client objectives.
* Build and manage a high-performing team responsible for delivering sponsorship campaigns for new and retained clients.
* Research and develop presentations with insights and recommendations for clients.
* Build strong relationships with sports rights holders globally and lead negotiations on behalf of clients.
* Direct strategic vision and creative idea development, presenting fully costed activation plans.
* Support the wider Synonymous Sport team across all campaign delivery activities.
* Maintain regular client interactions and ensure brand objectives are achieved.
* Drive innovation and best practices in sport sponsorship activation and partnership management.
* Expand the retained partnership business model to include agency relationships.
* Manage partnership activation budgets and achieve Synonymous Sport business KPIs.
* Work closely with the Founder to implement business growth strategies.
* Support business development by attending prospective client meetings and building brand relationships.
* Lead the creation, preparation, and delivery of presentations for prospective clients.
* Manage key Synonymous Sport retained client accounts.
* Lead the partnership delivery team.
* Deliver monthly reporting to clients and the Synonymous Sport Founder and Leadership Team.
* Ensure all partnership activations are integrated into the Synonymous Sport Marketing plan.
* Create marketing case studies for all retained clients.
* Represent Synonymous Sport at networking, sport industry, and social events.
* Stay up to date with sports partnership trends and innovations.
* Sign off all activation projects delivered by Synonymous Sport.
* Oversee research and evaluation of new sponsorship opportunities and market trends.
Person Specification – Essential
We are seeking a commercially minded sports partnerships leader with the vision to strategize, creativity to innovate, and drive to deliver, while inspiring a high-performing team within a fast-paced, ambitious agency.
* Excellent relationship management

* Strategic and hands-on approach to achieving results

* Minimum 5 years' experience in sports partnership activation
* Sports activation agency experience desirable (not essential)

* Driving licence with full access to own vehicle
