Project Engineer – Planned Maintenance (Fire Safety)
Full Time, Fixed Term – 18 months, 37 hours per week. Working days Monday to Friday 8:00-16:00.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver fire safety works generated from external fire risk assessments within social housing.
Manage and monitor multiple contracts for fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, door entry, warden call systems, fire doors, compartmentation and communal electrical testing & rewires.
Ensure high standards, best value for money, and compliance with health & safety, CDM regulations, and the golden thread of information.
Write specifications, contract documents and necessary reports in collaboration with local authority procurement and legal teams.
Manage budgets and present accurate data to line management.
Build strong working relationships with contractors and internal workforce.
Required Qualifications And Experience
Recognised engineering qualification at Degree or HNC level in Construction / Electrical / Fire Safety engineering or building services.
Current membership of a professional body.
Experience in contract procurement, contract management and health & safety compliance.
Level 4 qualification in a related engineering field is recommended.
