Child and Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist

£160,000 annually
Job Responsibilities:
* Provide expert psychiatric assessment and treatment to children and adolescents.
* Work with multidisciplinary teams within CAMHS to deliver high-quality care.
* Participate in forensic assessments and management of eating disorders.
* Engage in continuous personal development and training.
* Participate in on-call duties as required.
* Collaborate with other health and social care professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
* Document and maintain accurate records of patient interactions and interventions.
* Contribute to team meetings and share insights on best practices in child and adolescent mental health.
Essential Qualifications:
* Registered on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a licence to practice.
* Completion of Core Psychiatry Training (CT1–CT3): 3 years of full-time training covering general adult psychiatry and other sub-specialties.
* Completion of Higher Specialist Training (ST4–ST6): 3 years in a chosen psychiatry sub-specialty, leading to a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).
* Recognised medical degree (e.g., MBBS, MBChB) from a GMC-approved institution.
Desired Experience:
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
* Experience in CAMHS Forensic and/or Eating Disorders.
* Prior work experience in NHS hospitals or private psychiatric providers (e.g., Cygnet Healthcare) is preferable.
Additional Guidelines:
* Work Mode: 37.5 hours a week in-person with on-call rota.
* Shifts typically vary between 36–42 hours/week based on specific role requirements.
* Some roles may allow up to 2 days remote work.
* Primarily onsite role with no significant travel required.
* Interview Process: 2–3 stages, including a potential meet-and-greet with the team.
