Technical Assistant, Harper & Keele Veterinary School
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the technical team in Harper & Keele Veterinary School. The post holder will work closely with the academic team, supporting the delivery of practical teaching sessions in veterinary anatomy, pathology and clinical skills. The successful candidate will become part of the technical team supporting the delivery of teaching across a variety of laboratory classes.
Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of laboratory practical sessions, including set up and clean‑down of a wide range of practical areas.
* Work with the wider technical team for organisation and maintenance of consumables, equipment and development of teaching models.
* Assist in monitoring and maintaining a safe working environment within laboratories and teaching spaces, ensuring Health and Safety requirements are met.
* Demonstrate safe working procedures and appropriate use of specialist equipment.
* Be based primarily at the Harper Adams campus, with occasional travel between campuses.
Qualifications
* Some experience of working in a team within a regulatory environment.
* Adherence to Health & Safety in a working environment.
* Minimum of 4 GCSEs or equivalent.
