Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council's Property and Assets service is looking to employ a permanent Business Manager - Libraries, Museums and Archives.
You will have a strategic overview of the service area functions including the management of a creative, innovative and multi-disciplinary team of professionals including librarians and archivists alongside the council's museums and cultural teams.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery, management, strategic development and co-ordination of the council's library, museum, archive and cultural services and will take a lead role in policy development and the implementation of a comprehensive and innovative strategy to ensure delivery of high-quality services across the borough.
You will lead the team on a range of different projects alongside addressing and improving customer expectations in collaboration with key stakeholders and set against providing a value for money service and contributing to the delivery of neighbourhood/community working along with promoting a one council approach.
The role provides business critical functions for multiple council services in relation to cultural activity and is suited to a suitably qualified and experienced person.
