Overview
School Meals Supervisory Assistant - Permanent and Relief (multiple posts). Grade 1: £12.65 per hour. Hours: 7 ½ hours per week, term time only. Relief, as and when required. Start/finish time: 12 noon - 1.30pm, Monday to Friday. To start: As soon as possible.
Responsibilities
* Supervise children during lunch period in Nursery, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, inside and outside the building; organize games and activities and provide one-to-one supervision for children with special educational needs.
* Ensure children eat their school dinner / packed lunch.
* Escort children from the dinner hall to the playground; support children in the classroom on indoor play days due to weather conditions.
* Liaise with teachers about behaviour or playtime incidents.
* Change children who have soiled themselves.
* Report incidents on the CPOMS system.
* Ensure all areas are safe for pupils to play; clean the dinner hall after lunch, including cleaning tables and sweeping floors.
* Work both inside and outside the building; organise games/activities and encourage constructive and cooperative play.
* Provide one-to-one supervision for children with a special educational need.
Requirements
* Experience of looking after or working with children aged 3 to 11.
* Hardworking, reliable and trustworthy with good verbal and communication skills.
