As an Apprentice IT & Communications Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support of software and systems within our group companies.
Your apprenticeship programme will provide you with the key core skills and knowledge required to begin a career in IT as an Information & Communications Technician. The apprenticeship programme typically lasts 16 months.
Key elements of the role include...
· Install software and hardware systems, including new equipment/users, Windows operating system, anti-virus programs, Office 365 applications, and other tools commonly used by team members.
· Set up and maintain user accounts across business platforms, adjusting roles and permissions and security policies where required.
· Support the efficient running of our digital IT communications network, performing various duties depending on current requirements, from mobiles to platforms.
. Liaise with outsourced IT support company to ensure the smooth running of our IT infrastructure by making sure the support is delivered.
· Uninstall old programs and clean / re-image laptop computers and learning MS InTune.
· Assist with the maintenance of asset management for all technology equipment within the group companies.
· Liaise with third-party software support companies assisting colleagues with support tickets and guidance.
· Support assistance to the learner network and remote Microsoft 365 accounts.

What we need from you...
· Grade A-C (4) GCSE in ICT or equivalent.
· Grade A-C (4) GCSE in English and Maths or Functional Skills Level 2
· Confident user of MS Office packages including Word, Excel, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
· Familiarity with telephony and video conferencing tools.
· Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS).
· Ability to work in an office environment.
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to liaise confidently with colleagues at all levels.
· Willingness to collaborate and learn from others.
· Ability to manage own time and resources effectively
