Are you a creative and adaptable Tutor who can teach GCSE and A Level Physics, and also support learners with Functional Skills Maths and English? This organisation is looking for a tutor to deliver an innovative Study Programme for young people aged 16–25 with an EHCP across Northamptonshire.
Learners may have Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and some are care leavers who have opted out of mainstream education. This role suits someone who can build confidence, engagement, and independence through practical, real-world teaching.
Please note: This role involves working across various locations in Northamptonshire, which could include places of work, community centres, or a learner’s home. A car driver is essential.
What you’ll be doing:
Teaching GCSE and A Level Physics to 1–2 learners (5–10 hours per week)
Supporting Functional Skills Maths and English delivery where needed
Planning and delivering engaging sessions linked to real-life learning
Building learners’ confidence, independence, and motivation
Using a therapeutic, relationship-led approach including the PACE ModelWhat we’re looking for:
Teaching/training qualification (AET Level 3 / PTLLS minimum)
Ability to teach GCSE and A Level Physics
Willingness to support Functional Skills Maths and English
Experience or strong interest in working with SEN learners and EHCPs
