Wise Employment are recruiting for a Senior Finance Assistant, to join a large fast growing company in Plymouth. This is a fantastic Temporary to Permanent opportunity, working 8:45am – 5:30pm Monday – Friday, where you will earn a competitive salary along with a huge range of benefits.
As a Senior Finance Assistant your day to day responsibilities will include reviewing all sensitive nominal codes, identifying CAPEX, prepayments and accruals. Ensuring invoices are approved and processed. Updating the Fixed Asset Register and posting journals for additions and depreciation. Analysing costs against budgets and reporting to the Finance Manager team. Assisting in budgeting and forecasting.
Other responsibilities can include:
- Taking ownership of cost centres & balance sheet codes
- Posting and evidencing monthly accruals
- Assisting with our Construction Industry Scheme reporting requirements
- Review of sensitive nominal codes for capital expenditure
- Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register and related journals
- Preparing and posting of weekly/monthly expenses and credit card expenditure
In order to be a successful candidate for the Senior Finance Assistant you must:
- Financial qualification (AAT or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- High level of accuracy
- It Skills, with advanced Edexcel experience
- Team management experience desirable
