Head of Commercial Product – Embedded PayFac Platform

Location: Remote (UK-based) | Travel: Occasional Domestic & International


The Mission:

My client doesn’t just build software, they acquire and grow the companies that power entire industries. Central to this growth is our Embedded PayFac Platform. This is a high-growth, FCA-regulated engine designed to help our extensive U.K portfolio of software companies monetise and secure every transaction they process.


I’m looking for a drive Head of Commercial Product to sit at the intersection of strategy, sales enablement, and product delivery. This is a senior, autonomous role within our Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Chief Payments Officer.


Note: This is a high-impact individual contributor role. You won’t be managing a team, you’ll be driving in group software platforms a better impact of how their payments bundled with their software can be a differentiator.

Your goal is simple: make my clients PayFac offering the most frictionless, competitive, and profitable choice for their sister companies and their end customers, aiming for a win, win!


* Commercial Strategy: Own the roadmap for our PayFac services. You’ll translate the ISV’s business goals into improved Product Features, then work with Product Owner on the build these new features to make the platform stronger.
* Sales Enablement: You are the bridge. You’ll create the playbooks, battle cards, and pitch decks that help the internal companies sell payments effectively. You’ll join high-stakes deal cycles as the Product SME and champion Produce enhancements to help the ISV's win the business.
* Product Evolution: Lead the discovery of new Product capabilities from automated onboarding and risk tools to AI-driven enhancements that keep us ahead of the curve.
* Performance: You’ll obsess over KPIs, approval rates, processing volumes, and product profitability ensuring our \"voice of the customer\" is heard in every sprint.


Who You Are:

* Payments Expert: You have 5+ years in Fintech, Acquiring, or PayFac. You understand card scheme rules, KYC/AML, and the nuances of merchant pricing models.
* Commercially Sharp: You don’t just build features; you build value. You can tell a story that turns a technical API into a compelling commercial proposition.
* AI Advocate: You’re already thinking about how AI can streamline onboarding or fraud detection and want to lead those initiatives.
* Autonomous & Influential: You’re comfortable working with lots of different ISV’s and how best to position inhouse payments as a bigger value add global, multi-faceted organisation and influencing senior stakeholders without needing a direct-report team to get things done.
