The Role

We are looking for a Marketing Director with experience in a fast-paced Professional Services environment to join our senior leadership team. We are in the process of transforming our marketing department, ensuring it is built to support the rapid growth of our business and the person we are looking for will have experience transforming and building marketing functions to do just that.

We are looking for someone who can bring in new processes and technology to enable the existing marketing team to become even more efficient and effective in their roles. We are looking for someone who can create and deliver marketing strategies that position the gunnercooke brand as a purpose-led market leader whilst having strong leadership and people skills to mentor and develop a growing, ambitious marketing team.

On an international level the purpose of the marketing function is to:

1. Build the gunnercooke brand and reputation
2. Support the recruitment of new lawyers into the business
3. Provide marketing solutions to enable the lawyers in their business development activities

Responsibilities

* Brand positioning:
To own the brand positioning of gunnercooke and ensuring that this is widely communicated internally to the business and externally to both potential clients and potential new partners.
* Marketing Strategies:
Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with business goals to enhance brand visibility and engagement and support both recruitment and business development activities in the UK and internationally.
* Global website strategy:
Develop a best-in-class global website strategy and oversee its implementation and then ongoing management.
* CRM and marketing automation:
Rolling out a new companywide CRM system, ensuring adoption by the business and ensuring the marketing function is using the marketing automation tools to best effect.
* Bids and tenders:
Leading the bid writing function and ensuring that business winning bud, tenders are being produced. Additionally providing winning boiler plate materials, ensuring Partners can create their own business development materials.
* Future-focused
: Continually horizon scan for new and upcoming technologies and tools that will improve the output team and create business cases to obtain the relevant investments.
* Team leadership:
Manage the development of the marketing team, ensuring they have clear roles and responsibilities, development programmes, career pathways and realistic objective..
* Performance:
Monitor and report on marketing KPIs adjusting strategies based on data and insights. Report ROI on budget spend and marketing project investments.

The Person

Experience

* Experienced marketing leader with a technical and analytical approach, capable of managing day-to-day operations.
* Supported business growth into new geographical regions
* Strong leadership skills, having previously led and developed marketing teams.
* Strong expertise in CRM and marketing automation tools (HubSpot is essential).
* Experience of transforming marketing functions by introducing new processes and technologies to improve effectiveness
* Professional Services background
* Implementing a CRM and marketing automation tool

* Proven ability to develop and implement data-driven marketing strategies.
* Strong ability to get things done and drive results.
* Ability to present insights and strategies clearly to senior stakeholders.
* Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills.
