The Role The role is accountable for driving demand generation with indirect customers and key influencers in the commercial channel. for ADEY in UK and Ireland, delivering sustainable revenue, increased market share and customer satisfaction. The Head of Channel (Commercial) will be responsible for leading a team of Business Development Managers to develop the category and increase specification of ADEY products by educating the market on the benefits of ADEY’s solutions and advocating for new regulations. This role will also be responsible for providing technical expertise on commercial applications for both indirect customers and merchants providing lead generation. As a member of the Sales leadership team, they will be responsible for developing and driving the strategic intent of the business. They will be responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with key customers and stakeholders at a senior level. This role involves regular travel (typically three or more days per week on the road) with flexibility to work from home as duties allow, attendance at the Stonehouse office around two days per month, and occasional evening or weekend work. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach and develop a team of Business Development Managers to drive demand generation, expand the customer base, and ensure adherence to company procedures. Develop the channel strategy and implement tactical sales plans to achieve targeted sales growth and profitability. Meet channel sales and financial objectives, including forecasting, budgeting, analysing variances and initiating corrective actions. Educate the market on ADEY solutions to grow category demand and increase product specification, including pursuing medium term opportunities with heat networks. Identify new customer, market and product opportunities, working with Marketing to develop and execute plans. Maintain and grow relationships with key customers while coordinating with the Merchant Account team to activate high value branches and drive pull through. Champion the voice of the customer to ensure ADEY’s solutions meet evolving market needs. Drive continuous improvement in pricing structures and tools, working closely with the Sales Director (Domestic Markets) and Finance Director. Take ownership of channel demand forecasting and share insights with Sales and Operations to support the S&OP process. Maintain a strong, inclusive relationship with the Marketing and Training teams to ensure aligned activities, CPD programme delivery, campaigns, and up to date product knowledge across merchants and distributors. Represent and promote ADEY’s brand, culture and behaviours, delivering professional presentations, attending key events, and advocating for new UK regulations. Maintain accurate customer and meeting records in CRM, complete required reporting promptly, and manage the corporate hospitality budget effectively. Organise appointments to maximise productivity and attend all required sales meetings and events, including evening or weekend commitments as needed.
