Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Therapy Team in Ysbyty Cwm Cynon Hospital. We are looking for a skilled, organised and enthusiastic individual to join our established and friendly team. You will be required to work alongside the Occupational Therapists to support the delivery of rehabilitation and ongoing Occupational Therapy intervention.
To work as part of the Therapy team to undertake specific clinical and administrative tasks, implement intervention programmes as instructed and delegated by the OT, responding flexibly to the needs of the service.
To provide care to the patients, as delegated by the OTs, to the extent of their competencies.
Participate in project work, audits and provision of relevant statistics which may be for the benefit of patients or the OT department.
Monitor stocks of equipment and ensure appropriate supplies are ordered.
Key aspects of the role include to work as part of the therapy team to undertake specific clinical and administrative tasks, implement intervention programmes as instructed and delegated by the OT, responding flexibly to the needs of the service.
You will also need to have excellent time management skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form.

* Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. Whilst the candidate doesn\'t need to have skills in Welsh, it will be an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn\'t fluency, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
