Overview
Band 6 'step up' vacancy to Band 7 - 30 hours per week. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and skilled Pharmacist to join a dedicated team who are committed to developing the pharmacy service and ensuring patients receive excellent, expert, pharmaceutical care. Applications are welcome from all sectors of pharmacy practice. This post is advertised as part-time, 30 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Please note - you will commence in post on Band 6 salary; once you have demonstrated that you can work at a higher level (in agreement with management) you will move to a Band 7 salary. The post has potential for some evening, weekend and Bank Holiday duties. You will also contribute to our on-call service as per rota. You must be registered as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). The service is based at the Harplands Hospital in Stoke-on-Trent.
Responsibilities
* Ward pharmacy cover
* Attendance at regular MDT meetings as well as some dispensary duties
* Provide specialist clinical advice to a broad range of clinical areas
* Develop prescribing guidance and provide medicines training for staff
* Shadow in different specialist areas to widen breadth of experience
* Support personal development and undertake relevant education and training
* Develop clinical skills through funded postgraduate study and management skills
Qualifications
* Registered as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
