Prima Mente’s goal is to deeply understand the brain, to protect the brain from neurological disease and enhance the brain in health. We do this by generating our own data, building brain foundation models, and translating discovery to real clinical and research impact.
Role Focus & Expected Growth - Scientific Advancement
* In 1 month you will be up to speed on all the existing processes in the lab, and understand our scientific direction.
* In 3 months you will have direct ownership over method development and significantly contribute to planning the lab activities.
* In 6 months your work will have contributed to a patent or a high impact publication.

Necessary Experience
* Scientific excellence. This could be in the form of:
o Your PhD was at a leading laboratory where you learnt scientific rigour.
o High impact publications.
* Multi-omic experience. This could be in the form of:
o NGS analysis.
o Epigenetic analysis.
o Single-cell analysis.
o Cell free RNA analysis.
o Protein analysis at low and high throughput (immunoprecipitation and platforms such as O-Link, Alamar, Somalogic).
* Method creating and optimization that required resilience. This could be in the form of:
o Creating a novel method.
o Applying a method to a new situation.
* High throughput lab work. This could be in the form of:
o Processing thousands of samples.
o Using automation for lab work.
* Exposure to foundation models. This could be in the form of:
o Generating data for foundation models.
o A lab you have been involved with, creates or uses foundation models.
Interview Process
Our intention is to run our interview process end to end within 2 weeks. You will interact with co-founders Ravi and Hannah, as well as every member of the wet lab team. More information will be shared at each stage.
