Job Title: Cover Supervisor Location: Barnsley (S70, S71) Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract type -Day-to-day supply Support learning and help lessons run smoothly when teachers are absent! GSL Education are seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor (CS) to work in schools across Barnsley (S70, S71), maintaining classroom routines and ensuring students stay engaged with pre-prepared activities. As Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes, support pupils with tasks, and help maintain a positive and focused learning environment in the absence of teaching staff. Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor: Supervise classes following lesson plans provided by teachers Ensure students remain on task and maintain good behaviour Assist pupils where necessary with understanding and completing work Report back to teaching staff on lesson progress and behaviour Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times Candidate requirements: Experience working with children or young people is desirable Strong communication and classroom management skills Confident and organised approach to supervising classes Professional, flexible, and supportive attitude An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What’s in It for You?
