Remediation Supervisor – Major Energy Infrastructure Project (Outside IR35)
We are seeking a Remediation Supervisor for a high-profile Decommissioning and Carbon Capture project in the North West. This role is a critical link in the UK’s energy transition, overseeing the safe and compliant delivery of large-scale soil and groundwater remediation.
The Role
Reporting to the Construction Site Manager, you will lead the environmental oversight of subcontractors to ensure all earthworks and water management activities meet rigorous safety and regulatory standards.
* Soil & Waste Management: Oversee soil classification, stockpile management, and reuse decisions in line with CL:AIRE DoWCoP and Materials Management Plans.
* Operational Oversight: Supervise daily remediation activities, ensuring strict adherence to RAMS and principal contractor standards.
* Water & Environmental Control: Manage groundwater treatment systems, discharge controls, and environmental mitigations including dust and noise suppression.
* Compliance & Reporting: Maintain CDM duties, sign off waste transfer notes and site diaries, and ensure all works coordinate seamlessly with wider site operations.
Your Profile
* Experience: 3–5 years of dedicated experience in soil remediation or complex earthworks within a major project environment.
* Qualifications: Valid CSCS Supervisor card and SSSTS or SMSTS are essential.
* Technical Knowledge: Proven understanding of UK soil waste legislation, groundwater treatment techniques, and subcontractor management.
