Supplier Quality Engineer

Our client, a leading manufacturing business based in Berkshire, is looking to recruit an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to strengthen their quality and supplier performance team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing supplier quality performance, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring components and materials meet the highest manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage supplier quality performance across the supply chain
* Conduct supplier audits and support supplier development activities
* Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions
* Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
* Work closely with suppliers to improve quality, delivery, and process capability
* Support new supplier approvals and onboarding activities
* Review and approve supplier quality documentation including PPAPs, FAIRs, and control plans
* Collaborate with internal manufacturing, engineering, and procurement teams
* Monitor supplier KPIs and produce quality performance reports
Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience in a Supplier Quality Engineer or Quality Engineer role within manufacturing
* Strong understanding of quality systems and supplier management processes
* Experience conducting supplier audits
* Knowledge of root cause analysis tools and continuous improvement methodologies
* Familiarity with manufacturing quality standards and documentation
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
* Engineering or Quality qualification preferred
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards
* Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and 8D methodologies
