Vehicle Body Repairer Job Opportunity at Alexander Dennis
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Body Repairer to join our established Aftermarket team at our Anston workshop. Your primary responsibility will be to carry out vehicle repairs on both warranty and chargeable basis in the most cost-effective and efficient manner.

Role Responsibilities
* Carry out processes on passenger vehicles, including preparation, assembly, construction, and fitting.
* Make and fit seating, trim, flooring, and internal finishes.
* Prepare metal, plastic, and fibreglass to pre-paint standards efficiently and cost-effectively.
* Comply with all legal, safety, and quality policies and procedures.
* Ensure proper use and reporting of defects in PPE, tools, and equipment.
* Be reliable, flexible, self-motivated, and maintain a positive attitude.
* Adapt to shifting priorities and work occasional weekends if needed.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in body panel and mechanical repairs of buses, coaches, or similar vehicles.
* Practical skills in fibreglass repairs, structural repairs, panel shaping, cutting, and painting.
* Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
* Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and VOSA standards.
* Experience with welding techniques such as Gas, Electric, MIG, and TIG.
* Experience with LGV/HGV/PSV vehicles; vocational licenses are a plus.
* A full UK driving license is advantageous.
* Understanding of bus, coach, and commercial vehicle systems and repair techniques.
* Ability to interpret technical manuals and use tools safely.
* Ability to work off-site independently.
* Good communication, numeracy skills, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
