Overview
Hyundai Capital UK Ltd, a joint venture between Santander Consumer UK and Hyundai Capital Services Korea established in 2012, operates under the Hyundai Finance, Kia Finance, and Genesis Finance brands. It provides funding solutions to retailers and consumers. The FP&A team plays a vital role in reporting financial and business information, budgeting, and cost control, working closely with all departments. The Head of FP&A leads a functional area in the Finance department, providing technical support, advice, and continuously improving frameworks and policies to help meet company goals.
Responsibilities
1. Strategic and Policy Development — Lead the planning and development of HCUK\'s finance strategy under the guidance of the CFO and Finance Director. Coordinate annual business and department plans, finance policies and procedures, manage change, implement new reporting approaches, and perform medium-term planning for resource allocation and team coordination.
2. Control — Manage, monitor, and report internal controls in management accounting (budgeting, monthly closing, cost management, procurement) and financial accounting (tax, VAT, statutory reporting).
3. Technical — Provide robust planning and forecasting; direct technical activities, ensure compliance with policy, legislative and regulatory requirements; develop new standards, systems and processes; provide technical advice to the finance team, CFO, FD, and wider departments to support strategic and operational initiatives.
4. Continuous Improvement — Continuously evaluate and enhance the finance function, researching and implementing new approaches to maintain industry best practices and improve productivity.
5. Reporting — Take full responsibility for management financial reporting, including performance reports/Key Index, group and shareholder reports, board papers, stakeholder reporting, detailed analyses for senior management, and ad-hoc reports.
6. Committee Involvement — Support senior management and lead financial discussions through the Executive Finance Committee (EFC) with internal and external stakeholders.
7. Business Intelligence Management — Manage HCUK\'s Business Intelligence function, ensure data consistency and completeness, lead automated reporting improvements, and coordinate cross-departmental training to promote BI usage.
8. People Development — Set objectives, manage performance, ensure training and support for two direct reports, and foster learning and development opportunities for them and the wider team of five.
9. Risk and Compliance — Align with company risk and compliance policies, identify risks, incidents, breaches, promote awareness, and ensure timely action. The position is designated as a Certified Person under the FCA\'s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR).

Remuneration and Benefits
* Hybrid working model with a minimum of two days per week at the Reigate, Surrey office.
* Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
* Salary range of £75,500 to £90,000 depending on experience.
* Annual bonus eligibility up to 15%.
