Our core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation, and technology and knowledge transfer. - THE ROLE - The postholder will manage a research and innovation theme portfolio at the new Peace Plus Health Frontiers Technology Innovation Centre led by Ulster University. These themes are listed below, and there will be two Grade 8 posts appointed where candidates will be expected to have expertise in one of the following areas: - MedTech Regulatory Systems - Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare - Clinical Integration (academic, industry and clinical interface) The duties will include managing project reviews, relevant stakeholder engagement and board allocations, project monitoring (KPI), funder and partner liaison. Led by Ulster University, which has a 40+ year track record in health technology innovation, HF-TIC builds upon a 20-year partnership, strengthened by the INTERREG VA Eastern Corridor Medical Engineering Centre (ECME). This project is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). We may create a 12-month waiting list for the same or similar roles within the Department / Faculty. The University reserves the right to extend the waiting list across the University if required for certain posts. - ABOUT YOU - The postholder will be required to have: - A masters degree or equivalent level in Engineering, Computing, or a relevant Business-related area. - Substantial business development, engineering engagement, or stakeholder engagement experience with clear evidence of successful delivery against the relevant project themes in at least one of the following areas - MedTech Regulatory Systems; Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare; and/or Clinical Integration (academic, industry and clinical interface). - Experience of initiating and monitoring projects, operating in a fast-paced environment, working to tight deadlines, and closing projects.
