Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence and Security sector, is currently seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join their team in Cowes. This is a contract position with hybrid working arrangements, requiring four days per week on site. The role involves working on critical projects within a secure environment, ensuring the highest standards of engineering excellence and security compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading the electrical engineering efforts within the Maritime Services division
Developing, implementing, and overseeing electrical engineering projects
Ensuring all projects adhere to industry standards and security protocols
Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives
Conducting detailed analysis and troubleshooting of electrical systems
Preparing and presenting reports on project progress and status
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant technologies and regulations
Job Requirements:
Significant experience in electrical engineering
Detailed knowledge of power distribution networks
Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
